We need your help!

Each year during End of Grade (EOG) tests we need volunteers to serve as proctors.

What are proctors?

Proctors serve an important role in our End of Grade testing by serving as additional monitors who help the test administrator ensure testing occurs fairly and uniformly.  Proctors are responsible adult community volunteers (i.e., age 18 or older and not enrolled as a student in the K–12 public school system), school staff, or school system staff. A proctor should not be assigned to proctor in a room where his or her relative or ward is to be tested. Relatives and wards include children, stepchildren, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, siblings, in-laws, and persons under the proctor’s guardianship.

When are they needed?

Our End of Grade testing will occur May 12 – May 14. We need help on each day of testing. Proctor training sessions will be offered prior to testing. The training session will last about 30 minutes and is required by NCDPI in order to serve as a proctor.  We are available to train you at 7:30 am on the day of the test.
